- Hello,
- I was having a problem myself with the ZIP drive on my GVP.
- I was not the same error You report, but when I replaced the GVP
- SCSI ROM, all the problems went away. I am not positive, but you
- may need more memory to use Ami-Back. Although I have never noticed
- it to be a memory hog, I have not used it with less than 8MB. The
- symptoms that my ZIP showed with the GVP G-FORCE 030/40MHz SCSI-II
- controller was a tendency to hang up when transfer large amounts
- of data (as when I am backing up) to the ZIP drive. I installed
- the GURU-ROM advertised on ACs Amiga magazine and have not
- had any problems since.
- Good Luck,
- CB
